Greetings! I am excited to be providing massage in Newaygo at Vera's House. Vera's House is a Health and Wellness Education Center serving the neighborhood and community. Vera's House is owned and operated by St. Mark's Episcopal Church of Newaygo, I rent a lovely room in the house and my business is a separate entity.
I was born and raised in Newaygo and graduated from Newaygo High School in 1973. I went on to receive my teaching degree in Art and PE from GVSU and my Master's from CMU in Community Leadership. I enjoyed working 30 years in education and the last 15 years I was a high school counselor at Grant High School.
Prior to retiring in 2009, I completed my massage therapy certification in 2007 and I am licensed by the State of Michigan. I have always been interested in the human body and the healing process, not only physical healing, but healing in mind and spirit. Hence, my strength lies in helping people relaxing tension in the body, as well as their mind and spirit.
